So this is my future. I am a administrator married to an electrical engineer with three children. Not the life I was expecting but it is not all bad. I am making a good amount of money and so is he so we can have a nice life. It would be even better if we only had one kid since I only want one but three is okay I will still love them. But I expect my actual life to unfold very differently then it did on the computer.

It is so hard for me to choose a number one out of the four categories employers look for in an interview since they are all super important. But since you ask me what my ranking of them is it would have to be, #1: Job Qualification, #2: Attitude, #3: Communication, and finally #4: Appearance. Personally though I believe that these are all important and one should not be more important than the rest. This article is What To Wear(And NOT To Wear) To An Interview [Infographic] by David Schepp. It is about what to wear or not wear to an interview. Being a female it is suggested I wear a pants suit. It is also suggested I do not wear low v-necks. Also I hould not bring a big tote bag. My nails should be kept a natural color not bright rainbow colors. Guess I should keep my purse in my car and buy a natural shade of nail polish. If I was hiring someone to work in my place of business I would want them to look clean and presentable because if they get the job they are going to be presenting for me and my business. I want my business to look good and have people come back so I can make an income so I would want my employees to make good impressions because sometimes they are a key factor in a customer coming back. Personally I do not really know anyone whom I can say they dressed up for an interview and got the job because not only did they look good on paper the way they presented themselves put them over the edge. However I do agree with the fact that dressing properly in an interview might get you the job. In the future I will use this information when I go in for an interview. I will not wear heels as much as I love them. I will not bring in my bright colorful purse I will bring a clutch that matches my outfit. I will buy a pants suit no matter how much I detest the style. I will keep makeup light and not over do it. I will keep my nails a natural shade not a palate of rainbow shades. ostentatious (http://definr.com/ostentatious) adj 1: intended to attract notice and impress others; "an ostentatious sable coat" [syn: pretentious] [ant: unostentatious] 2: of a display that is tawdry or vulgar [syn: pretentious, kitsch] conservative (http://definr.com/conservative) adj 1: resistant to change [ant: liberal] 2: opposed to liberal reforms 3: avoiding excess; "a conservative estimate" [syn: cautious] 4: unimaginatively conventional; "a colorful character in the buttoned-down, dull-gray world of business"- Newsweek [syn: button-down, buttoned-down] 5: conforming to the standards and conventions of the middle class; "a bourgeois mentality" [syn: bourgeois, materialistic] n : a person who has conservative ideas or opinions [syn: conservativist] [ant: liberal] I do not think it is right to only sell clothes for the "Cool Kids". What is the definition of cool anyways nowadays? Does cool mean you have to be bottle blonde, smaller then a stick and have to be up on all the latest trends? Personally I think the definition of a "Cool Kid" should be a kid that is happy, helps others and lives life the way they want. I know I am not the typical popular kid (I am barely popular as is) but I am super happy with how I am living my life and I think that makes me a pretty cool kid. So stores should not sell clothes to the typical "Cool Kid" they should sell clothes to all kids because lets face it we are all super cool in our own ways so we are all the "Cool Kid". Did you hear that Abercrombie & Fitch or is your botox slipping and covering your ears. I will repeat it "WE ARE ALL THE COOL KIDS" so start making clothes for everyone. (I mean look at her she is overweight and she is fabulous.) Michigan is ranked number one in unemployment. Which is really sad. When I was researching for a job at a store and then as a teacher it was way easier to find a job at a store then as a teacher that is close to home. So finding a job as a teacher was very difficult and will only get harder since more and more people are entering the field and the more there is the harder it will be to get a job since teachers usually stay where they are until they retire and that spot is usually filled in a snap because dozens of people apply for it. If I were a parent I would not make my children friend me on Facebook. Instead of being their friend on Facebook I would demand to see their page a least once a week. Why would I not have them friend me? I would not have them friend me because to tell the truth I am friends with my dad on Facebook and it is not that I am embarrassed of it the thing is I hate how he always post pictures of me. I mean like they are not the worst but I would prefer if he would stop it because I like to keep my life private and off the internet and I do not want to post my childs life online. Teacher Defends Insulting Blog Posts About Her Students by Andrea Canning and Olivia Katarandjian is about a teacher that posted rude comments on a personal blog about students. Natalie Munroe created a blog where she posted how she felt about her students. She did not think anyone from school would ever see it since it had been up for a year and no one had found it yet. On the blog she called students “frightfully dim” and other things that she thought no one would ever see. But since it is the internet eventually she was reported for what she was posting and was suspended with pay. I believe that this teacher should be fired and get a job in the trash industry since she is posting on her blog that she hears they are hiring. I disagree that Ms. Munroe’s first amendment right is being violated. She posted it on the internet for everyone to see instead of just talking to the student directly or venting in a notebook. I do not know anyone specifically who has posted things about others online but, I have seen it done on Facebook. Posting about others online can really affect you in the future so you always need to think before you post because it is not just like you hit delete and it is gone it stays around forever. In the future I will use this information before I hit post or even type something in my blog posts. I will not bad mouth my employers. I will only compliment others online not tell them how much I hate them. Since I have a personal website I will think before I hit the publish button. Also I will always tell people I have an issue with them instead of posting online about how stupid they are. egregious (http://definr.com/egregious) adj : conspicuously and outrageously bad or reprehensible; "a crying shame"; "an egregious lie"; "flagrant violation of human rights"; "a glaring error"; "gross ineptitude"; "gross injustice"; "rank treachery" [syn: crying(a), flagrant, glaring, gross, rank] caricature (http://definr.com/caricature) n : a representation of a person that is exaggerated for comic effect [syn: imitation, impersonation] v : represent in or produce a caricature of; "The drawing caricatured the President" [syn: ape] My name has a huge online presence but I do not. The person that has the online presence with my name is an English actress. If this was the only information someone had about me I am not sure what they would think. They might think I am an accomplished actress or a stuck up snob. But frankly I don't care that I personally don't have an online presence because I do not want some creep to find me and start harassing me. If I had to work 80% of the time while I was at school and got to spend the other 20% doing something to benefit the school I would probably spend time working on something in the library. It makes a lot of sense for me to work in the library because it is like my second home and I want it to be as nice as possible for the entire school and visitors. |
