So this is my final CFE post. I have done three CFE's with different employers and I enjoyed each one very much. It was very hard to figure out what to do for my final Final, but in the end I decided to make a poster that shows the highlights of many peoples CFE experiences this year to hopefully put on the bulletin board in the counseling office about the CFE to replace the old quotes. I'm hoping that this poster will count for my final.
Now along with my Final I was required to also post my response from my employer on the Letter of Recommendation. Currently I do not have one back, but once I do I will post a picture of it and write about their response. With the CFE being over I'm happy that the stress of blog posts and time sheets is over, but I am very sad to be leaving my employers here at Lake Shore. They are all wonderful people and I am so grateful to have had a chance to work with them. I have learned so much and I will never forget what they have done for me. Thank you so much for this opportunity, I enjoyed it very much.

So this past week was my last week going into Ms. Dombrow's for my CFE. During the week we continued on with R&J and did the typical things like warm-ups and watching/reading R&J, but on Friday, my last day, we did something a little different. On Friday we took the class outside to rehearse scenes. That's right for Act 3, Scenes iii and iv the students were preparing to act them out on Monday in groups to the rest of the class. The fun part about this activity for me was that I got to walk around the football field and not only watch the students practice their performances, but help them prefect their performances, which I really enjoy doing. If you didn't know this Romeo and Juliet is one of my favorite pieces by Shakespeare and I love theater. Romeo and Juliet is actually part of the reason why I started to write poetry. Anyway it was a great last day because the students actually wanted to perform for me and asked me questions. Also at the end of class when Ms. Dombrow announced that it was my last day the students actually were very upset and I was not expecting that. I'm actually very sad that my CFE experience is almost over. I wish it lasted longer. I'm really going to miss all the students...If this is what it is like to be a teacher I think I need more practice with having students leave me. Anyway I loved my CFE experience, so thanks for making it available to me.
This past week in my CFE I was only there for four days due to having an AP Literature and Composition Exam on Wednesday, but the week went pretty well. We continued on with R&J and Ms. Dombrow had a fun activity to do where the students listened to the Queen Mab speech given by the character Mercutio and drew what they were picturing before answering some questions. It was interesting to see all the different scenes the students were picturing in their heads. Along with all of this Ms. Dombrow also gave me some words of comfort and tips about my AP exam because she has taken it before, which was very nice of her to do seeing as how I was so stressed out about taking it.
Also for this blog post I was asked to post my evaluation sheet (which you can see pictured above) and my LOR for my third and final CFE here at Lake Shore. I have been doing this CFE for the entire school year with a different employer each time and honestly I am so happy I signed up for this class. All the employers were stellar and I learned a lot about not only teaching, but myself. The one thing that I learned the most was that I need to practice on having more confidence and to ask questions as much as possible in areas that I don't have confidence in. I am proud to announce that I will officially be becoming a teacher in the future and a huge reason why I can even say this confidently is because of this CFE. This past week in my CFE we started reading the first act of William Shakespeares The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Along with starting this act we watched the part of the movie version with Leonardo DiCaprio in it to see what was going on in the play because Shakespeare's plays are meant to be seen and heard not just read in your head. Watching this movie was quite interesting for me because honestly even though I own it, I have never watched it. I have only seen the play performed and the 1986 version of the play. Now the students are reading the play out of textbooks, but luckily I came across a version of the play being discarded from our school library so I get to mark up the pages with annotations, which I have already started to do, so that I can hopefully help the students understand the material better. Also on Thursday this past week Ms. Dombrow was absent, but she had left me with a worksheet for the students where they got to describe their perfect partner and who they believe their parents think their perfect partner would be. If I were to describe my perfect partner for life it would probably be someone whose loyal, a great listener and adorable...pretty much my perfect partner is a...puppy. That's right my perfect partner is a puppy. It's interesting to see that so many people describe another human for a perfect partner when puppies and kittens and all other sorts of animals exist. I'd just be happy with a puppy.
